SHE’S A SUPERMARKET WOMAN
There is this one thing that I do, I love to do, I not only could but literally do spend hours doing and this is strolling through grocery shops when one has time. It is one of the things I make room for once I have a looser schedule. I love to transform this usually very earmarked and essential activity into a pointless one. And this transformation sets me in a mood, a mood I always feel once I do things unintentionally, like unloading the dishwasher without a hurry, getting lost without a phone - it sets me up in a meditative mood, life appears to happen when one lets go of control, gives up a specific goal (even if this goal is just unloading the dish washer in the most efficient way). Writing this, it comes to my mind that this is what Harmut Rosa might mean with “angefasst sein vom Leben” what I would translate with “being touched by life”. You are not the one choosing, you are the receiver and I am - for whatever reason- receiving a lot when endlessly strolling through these grocery stores. It is both about the people and the products. Really anything can inspire to spin a story further.
Like these avocados reminding me of my green pearl bag. Both there for you to make you look and feel on top of thingzzzz…
Round, green, beautiful. Eat diamonds for breakfast and shine all day.
But everyday life is not really about diamonds. It is about the good basics, the fall back options, the established and classic pieces - the base, the (back)ground…
You can top them with whatever suits you, create your very favorite and personal combos. This is not the first time I am thinking dressing and cooking are somewhat structured alike: Both creative, essential and in a sense spiritual processes. Decisions to be made by everyone every day, intentionally or subconsciously. And what works for me might not work for you. A recipe can help but if you play with things you know it is more likely to prevent you from creating by intuition but far more disastrous you won’t make it your own, it is not tailored to suit you. Also, you can’t go wrong. Leandra has put it this way in The Cereal Aisle (16th, November 2025): Without making peace with the simultaneous inevitability that it (…) will be bad from time to time, the good one can never get through. Sometimes, you just have to make it and let it go.
As much as Balenciaga can convince at least parts of me to buy Strawberry & Lime, is another part of my personality so impressed by the up-to-dateness of german discounters as this inevitably leads to the purchases shown below…
Adequately presented on this handmade bag my brother brought from his trip to Tanzania where he took part in a social project . Auch mal was zurückgeben, Balenciaga.
Lastly, I am wondering what has drawn the LIDL Marketing team to not adress the “Shopping Queen”-Caffeinator anymore. Is it because they anticipate the Latte-Art-Lover now - due to inflation- to stop buying OATLY?
